This book is a paradigm shift in thought, word and deed.

Here is a short extract from the book…

“We have been back and forth, in and out, through the
inevitable maze of chaos that is ‘the ways of doing leadership.’
Moreover, we have yet to touch the soul of leadership and
released its essence. This essence is found within all of us and it emerges we sense the spirit, a spirit within. When we open ourselves to listen, we can begin to sense that who we are now and the who we can be, is already within us. I believe we need ‘grace’ to release it.

Also, we need people of grace to lead us – women and men.
We need leaders to become engaged in a ‘spirit of service’
that informs and directs their actions as leaders of a
community. In doing so, they lead with grace. However, to do this effectively, leaders must discover and uncover specific attributes (qualities) within themselves.

A study on leadership and leadership attributes revealed the key attributes leaders need to develop within themselves to help create community – in particular, a moral community (McGahey, 2000c). From this study, a strategy has been designed to reveal the leadership attributes required of a leader in various scenarios. The strategy is called the Leadership Attributes Game (LAG).
A full description of the game is beyond the scope of this essay. The book Leadership Attributes: Leading Community in Disruptive Times. Visit my website for details of the book and game at www.vickymcgahey.com.
