There are no words.
There are no words for the sadness – a sadness that comes in the realisation of a senseless loss of life. The recent massacre of innocent people by terrorists in Christchurch, New Zealand has touched the hearts of many.
There is only the hope for us who remain, shocked and horrified. That hope is to find the courage and wisdom to move on. We need to find the courage and the wisdom to forgive, but to never forget.
Those precious souls who died while in prayer now walk the hallowed halls of heaven in the presence of God. Their journey is over and they are with peace.
And what of us who remain? What are we to do?
We reach out to each other!
I offer the following words as a reflection to help each of us move on. We need to embrace our faith, our love and charity for humanity while embracing an enduring hope that is a call to action.
- Create the space within yourself to live and breathe the alpha and omega of all statements:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
We call this ‘The Golden Rule.’ It is a cornerstone for many religions not just Christianity. However, it is Jesus, as the founder of Christianity who invites us to lift this rule to a higher level. He asks us to unconditionally:
“Love one another as I have loved you.”
- Create the way forward…
“A graceful vision of a grace-filled mission is a call to action.”
- Create life giving communities within the home, workplace and the world by acknowledging a truth of the knowing…
“Diversity within unity; Unity through diversity.”
- And always remember…
“Leadership within followership; Followership through leadership.”
Love and Blessings,
